What if I've been impacted by a disaster?
Within the online application system, a specially designed application has been created for associates affected by disasters. This application is shorter than the financial hardship application with an expedited turnaround time.

ADP Cares is not a first responder; in the event of a disaster, associates should contact the American Red Cross or another local organization for on the ground immediate assistance.

What happens to the applications?
ADP Cares is administered by E4E Relief. As a non-ADP entity, E4E Relief has been designated to manage the grant processing and administrative aspects of ADP Cares. Who makes the final decision on the applications?
E4E Relief manages the grant processing and administrative aspects of ADP Cares on behalf of ADP. This ensures confidentiality and impartial decision-making. They also have expertise on this subject matter to make sound decisions on qualifying events.

How long do I have to wait for a decision?
Decisions are made within 3-5 business days from the time all documentation is received. Expedited turnaround times are in place for those with immediate needs due to a disaster.

Will everyone know if I apply or if I receive a payment?
No. A third party, E4E Relief, administers the program and applications are confidential. It is up to you if you would like to share your story about assistance you received from ADP Cares. If an associate opts to share their story with ADP to help promote the ADP Cares program and raise awareness, the associate's name, type of hardship and contact number will be provided to the program advisor at ADP.

How much will the grant amount be?

All grants are determined in USD and will be distributed to the associate in their local currency. Maximum award amounts may range from $500 and up to $5,000 depending on the circumstances and the associate's location. Should several events occur, the annual maximum award amount may range from $500 and up to $5,000 per associate per 12-month period. If an associate opts to share their story with ADP to help promote the ADP Cares program and raise awareness, the associate's name, type of hardship and contact number will be provided to the program advisor at ADP.

If I receive payment from the fund, do I have to pay taxes or pay back the fund?
Associates outside of the U.S. and Canada may be liable for taxes on the grant received. This will vary by country and is the responsibility of the associate to report. Grants from ADP Cares to U.S. and Canadian Associates are nontaxable. All grants are provided as gifts and need not be repaid.
